What You Need To Know Before You Install

Tool Bar - Backup


Backup Database:
CD Library 4.0 stores all CD/DVD information in one file, it is ˇ§CDLIB.MDBˇ¨.
The file is located in C:\Program Files\CDLIB


You also are able to store CDLIB.MDB to other better place, for example D drive,
So you can use File -> Backup Database to save to the destination you wish to have.



Tool Bar - Restore


Restore Database:
You can restore CDLIB.DB (3.5 format) or CDLIB.MDB (4.0 format)
to the CD Library 4.0 software.

Tool Bar - Advance Search




CD Library 4.0 is not only search CD/DVD title,
But also you can search the content of CD/DVD,
All directories and files, including sub-directories and sub-files.
PS. You can print out the result after you do advance search.


Tool Bar - Insert/Retrieve Disc




Retrieve Disc Log:
Whenever you retrieve or store a CD/DVD, you might want to record when
The CD/DVD is retrieved or who retrieved this CD/DVD. Check this box,
A small window pops up to let you make a record of retrieving.



When you try to retrieve a CD/DVD In the Record, you can see all of the history A small window pops up.



Tool Bar - Delete






Tool Bar - Print


Before you print, you can select ALL DATA or any category, Printing feature is able to print the current display in ˇ§database areaˇ¨. It is not necessary for you to print all database, just select data you wish to print.
Disc title can be printed by alphabet order as well.

Choose ˇ§ALL Dataˇ¨ in Tree Direcory


Choose Category ˇV ˇ§Softwareˇ¨ Only

You can choose Detail, List, or Icon to display discs in main database area.

Tool Bar - Mode



Display ˇ§Modeˇ¨ By Category or By Machine.
You can have search feature in ˇ§By Categoryˇ¨ mode,
But you cannot have search feature in ˇ§By Machineˇ¨ mode.





Tree Directory

In the Tree Directory, you can right click on ALL Data, Category, or Disc, there are several sub-menu function.

Disc


If you input CD/DVD in CD/DVD drive and then check ˇ§Retrieve Disc Informationˇ¨ box in the beginning of build data, CD Library 4.0 grabs all information including all levels of directories and files.
You are also able to see directories and files.




Main Database Area

Double click a disc to retrieve from machine. Right click on a disc to have sub-menu


If you click ˇ§Disc Titleˇ¨ to make the list in alphabet order, you can print in this order as well.





Search Data

Searching disc titles is so easy, just put in keyword and data is right there.

Status Line

ID: Each CD Library machine has a unique ID number inside of the IC chip.
ID Name: Once you connect CD Library machine to the computer, software
ˇ@ˇ@ˇ@ˇ@Finds this new machine, and it asks you to input a name for it.
Slot number: You are highlighting slot 69.
298: Total data number ->298



If you are searching, this number shows the quantity of data that fits your keyword.
