What You Need To Know Before You Install

Menu Bar - File


Backup Database:
CD Library 4.0 stores all CD/DVD information in one file, it is ˇ§CDLIB.MDBˇ¨.
The file is located in C:\Program Files\CDLIB




You are able to store CDLIB.MDB to other better place, for example D drive,
So you can use File -> Backup Database to save to the destination you wish to have.
It is strongly recommended that you backup database to D drive or C:\Program Files\CDLIB\Backup.




Restore Database:
You can restore CDLIB.DB (3.5 format) or CDLIB.MDB (4.0 format)
to the CD Library 4.0 software.



Please refer to:
Import database *.DB (3.5 format)
Import database *.MDB (4.0 format)
Print:
Before you print, you can select ALL DATA or any category,
Printing feature is able to print the current display in ˇ§database areaˇ¨.
It is not necessary for you to print all database, just select data you wish to print.
Disc title can be printed by alphabet order as well.


Choose ˇ§ALL Dataˇ¨ in Tree Direcory



Choose Category ˇV ˇ§Softwareˇ¨ Only




Menu Bar - Function

Power On
The feature lights up digital LED display in the machine.

Power Off
The feature shuts off digital LED display in the machine.

Reset
The feature resets all of the CD Library machines at the same time.


Menu Bar - System Setting


System Setting



Important: Make sure you click ˇ§Saveˇ¨ to keep all setting.

Language:
Change languages of user interface (default English & Chinese),
For other languages, you can go to C:\program Files\CDLIB\Language
Open ˇ§Language.engˇ¨, translate English to your language (German or French),
and save another file to Language.ger or Language.fre, then you can select
the language of user interface to German or French. You can e-mail the file
to Technical Support.

Main Font:
Change user interface font, size and color.

E-mail Setting:
You can leave E-mail Setting as default, this is for CDDB or FreeDB.

Host Address:
You can leave Host Address as default, this is for CDDB or FreeDB.

Retrieve Disc Log:
Whenever you retrieve or store a CD/DVD, you might want to record when
The CD/DVD is retrieved or who retrieved this CD/DVD. Check this box,
A small window pops up to let you make a record of retrieving.




When you try to retrieve a CD/DVD In the Record, you can see all of the history
A small window pops up.



Machine List:
The feature shows all of the machine list.

Password
Password allows you to keep your software safe from strangersˇ¦ navigation.




Swap ID



Each CD Library machine has a unique ID inside,
You can store CD/DVD information in the database,
Letˇ¦s say you have 2 machines, first machine ID is 22139
Second machine ID is 48618
Before you swap ID:
First machine (22139) has 150 CDs and second machine (48618) has 88 CDs information in the database,
After you swap ID:
First machine (22139) has 88 CDs and second machine (48618) has 150 CDs information in the database.
